What is the best gear for seasonal BDO? ›

Tuvala gear is exclusive to season servers and is the best gear set for season characters. You can enhance all Tuvala gear pieces including accessories up to PEN (V) level, and you can use the gear for the “Guaranteed PEN (V) Boss Gear” questline upon graduating from the season server.

Blackstar. Blackstar equipment is more powerful than boss gear, and in more specific terms, this type of gear has stats specialized for PvE. TET (IV) Blackstar gear and PEN (V) boss gear are at a similar level, and PEN (V) Blackstar gear can be considered overall the highest-tier gear out of all the existing gear sets.

▲ Go to Blacksmith → Repair → Recover Max Durability to recover the depleted max durability of your Naru equipment. Whilst the major Naru gear pieces are easy to enhance, Naru accessories follow the same rules as regular accessories, meaning they are destroyed upon enhancement failure.

You can convert your season character to a normal character via graduation on a season server and have the restrictions on equipping gear lifted. Your Tuvala gear will also automatically be converted when you graduate. (You cannot further enhance your converted Tuvala gear.)

S-Tier - the most powerful classes in BDO. They have massive damage output and the best survivability. They're the best classes to use on high-level farming spots.

We strongly recommend new Adventurers to take their time in leveling and gearing up their season character as much as possible before attempting to graduate from the season servers.

Blackstar:- When it comes to the best-in-slot PvE weapon, nothing surpasses the mighty Blackstar. As a remarkable contender, the Godr-Ayed weapons offer identical stats. However, keep in mind that PEN Blackstars present the most challenging enhancement process, demanding great effort and resources.

Black Desert does not have a level cap, but the “soft cap” for levels is considered to be 62. Once you have reached level 62, there are very minor buffs for reaching higher levels and it is not essential or required to grind purely for EXP.

Naru gear was designed for adventuring in Serendia, Calpheon, and Mediah. As you complete the main quests in these regions, you will be able to get the new Beginner Black Stones needed for enhancing this new gear. You cannot receive Beginner Black Stones in retrospect for main quests already finished.

Enhancing these are simple: click on black spirit, click enhancement which will bring up the window. Click your gear piece and it will put it in the upgrade window. For upgrading naru gear, you simply are going to just keep clicking enhance on this gear all the way up to pen.

How can I regain my durability in BDO? ›

To unlock the repair ability, you will have to obtain the knowledge from a blacksmith. Once you have acquired the knowledge, you can use an item on your personal anvil to repair it. It takes about 20 seconds to restore one point of durability, but it won't cost you silver.

Narchillan gear is similar to DUO-TRI Blackstar gear, it is slightly less AP/DP than PEN Tuvala, but has additional Monster Damage Reduction. The Narchillan gear also has the same set bonus as Blackstar and Boss gear, so you can also mix and match Narchillan, Blackstar, and Boss gear to obtain the set bonus.

Once you graduate from a season, your season character can continue to be permanently played in the normal servers. Season characters do not disappear.

Seasons no longer end so you don't have to worry about that. You can take as long as you need to complete your Pass. Keep in mind that you can only have one Season character at a time though. If you end up taking years to complete your Season Pass and graduate, you can't make any new Season characters in that time.

In addition to all of this, Season characters can only use “Naru Gear”, “Tuvala Gear” or story quest gear. The Tuvala gear is much easier to enhance than regular gear and you can keep your Tuvala gear until the end of the season.

Naru Gear can be obtained by completing the main quests early on in the game, and you can get one for each slot, including Main/Sub-weapons, all armor and accessories. You will also earn plenty of Beginner Black Stones to enhance this gear.

For hunting you will need to get Critical Hit level 5, Attack Speed level 5, and Gathering level 5. Here are two examples of beginner buff combinations you can use: Seafood Cron Meal, Canine Artifact Set, Elixir of Flowing Time, Elixir of Flowing Wind, Elixir of Strong Shock, Perfume of Swiftness.
