How to make 3 Ingredient Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip:

The 3 ingredients that you need to make this dip are:

  • low fat cottage cheese (I used 2%)
  • low fat plain Greek yogurt (make sure it’s plain and not vanilla!)
  • 1 packet of dry ranch dressing mix

There are 2 different ways to make this dip.

The first way is to add the cottage cheese and Greek yogurt to a blender and blend until smooth, then mix in the dry ranch dressing mix. This way will give you a smooth and creamy dip (this is the way that I prefer it).

The second way is just to add all the ingredients to a big bowl and mix until it’s all mixed together. This method will leave you with a bumpy texture from the cottage cheese, but some people prefer it this way.

Both ways taste delicious and you can’t go wrong with either method!

This is outstanding - I love veggies and dip, but the calories in the dip, not so much. I'm training for a race in June and need to eat high-protien. I cannot thank you enough for posting this. It is more delicious and creamy than the sour cream based dip I usually make, and tastier than the sole yogurt base I've tried. I bet this combo of cottage cheese and yogurt would make an awesome tzatziki!

  2. Stacey says:

This recipe is so clever and tasty! Ranch dressings just with yogurt aren't great but adding the cottage cheese made the texture yummy. I used fat-free cottage cheese/yogurt and added a bit of creole seasoning and garlic b/c I like stronger flavors than the ranch pack offers, but this is so tasty!

  7. Kim says:

I also just tried making this with Hidden Valley Fiesta mix and it turned out yummy too. I will say I liked it better when I did it the blender. It’s more creamy. This time I just did it with a hand mixer because I wanted to see the difference.

  8. Terry says:

I am allergic to dairy. I can eat goat cheese (hard or chevee) and sheep feta cheese. Do you have any recommendations on substitutes?

  9. Momma Cyd says:

You can easily substitute the dairy with cheeses that you are not allergic too. The taste will be totally different that this recipe because the cheeses will have been switched out.

  10. Miriam says:

Help! love the taste but it turned out watery. How to make it thicker? I thought about more greek yogurt but am terrified of messing with recipe

  11. Momma Cyd says:

We haven't had a problem with it being watery. Be sure to drain off excess liquid with your cottage cheese first and see if that helps. We used the 2%.

  12. Cyndi F says:

This was awesome! It's better tasting and healthier for you than the regular Ranch Dip! I really can't tell the difference between the regular full fat dip and this one - I used low fat cottage cheese and zero fat Greek yogurt.
