Hi @ all
Got a Peugeot 208 2013er 1.6l VTi automatic (left side driver).
Vehicle registration number:
VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
The following errors come up:
A: U1F1B LIN FAULT21
B: U1F3E No communication with telematric ecu
Couldn't find anything by google. My autoelectrician doesn't know much about Peugeot cars.
Please advise
Thanks in advance
Best regards

There should be another couple of digits on the end of that fault code, so I can only provide the following:
Fault Code: | U1F10 08 |
Description of Fault: | _built-in systems interface not communicating on the intersystems CAN. No emission of data from the BSI on the Intersystem CAN network for at least 2s. |
Conditions for Fault to clear: | Emission of data from the BSI on the Intersystem CAN network for at least 2s. |
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active: | None, however the following warning lamps may appear:
|
Symptoms: |
|
Suspect Areas: |
|
As for the Fault with the SMEG Unit:
Fault Code: | U1F3E 87 |
Description of Fault: | Fault: absence of communication with the telematic unit. Absence of communication with the telematic unit (For 2 seconds). |
Conditions for Fault to clear: | Communication with the telematic unit (For 2 seconds) |
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active: | - |
Symptoms: |

Thanks a lot.
I thought the code by the related to the Smeg unit, because I pulled the fuse.. it's switching off and on all the time. Before it switches off the display freezes.
What I can do to get it working? I tried the 'fuse trick many times but it never worked for me except ones. The unit was working for about 10min properly but after I switched the car off and after 15min on again, it just did the usual thing.. on and off the whole time. Very disturbing, so I pulled the fuse..
Any advice?
Thanks in advance
Best regards

The unit can switch off with excess heat - normally the unit will lower the volume output first, and then if it is still too hot, it will power off until it cools. The Head Unit is behind the fascia / central console and ther tends to not be a lot of room there for air to circulate and cool. However if it is switching off in cool temperature also, then you may have a faulty connection or problem with the CAN network or any of the reasons listed on the bottom of the table in my last post above.

Hi again. Unfortunately I couldn't solve the Smeg unit issue. I'm still trying to avoid the Peugeot dealer workshop, here in South Africa they don't know their own brand correctly..
However: is there any information where exactly the CAN network wires are situated in the vehicle?
There is many issues that may be related. I had my wires getting checked a few month ago, not sure if really all were checked but I hope so, even the fuse box, BSI and the fuse box on the driver side.. all good.
Those faults are permanent:
U1F1A LIN FAULT21
U1F1B LIN FAULT
U1F00 fault event not stored in the fault logs
B1140 front left fog lamp control fault
B1331 electric window authorisation output fault
U1F3E no communication with telematric ecu
[(B1418 seatbelt Status -* but that one is only because I leave the seatbelt plug in*-)]
Unfortunately there is no further digits for them.
Sometimes they can be deleted. My actual problem with these faults is actually that my engine light comes on. I don't understand why though
Please advise. Thanks in advance

Another question about the SERVICE light. With the normal procedure it's not going off, is it maybe related to those issues?
In the cluster I always get faults like
A: Engine repair needed (before it came because of a faulty oxygen sensor cable management, as of another topic I opened)
B: gearbox repair needed (doesn't give any sensor faults)
