How do you get rid of mucus in your system naturally and quickly? Well, I’d be glad to answer.

Let’s jump right in.

This tea is the tea that my mom has told just about everyone saved her life- you know how mama’s be.

Anyway, it’s clear you could use some context there, huh? I got you.

So right around the weeks leading to the start of the pandemic and the weeks following- my mom got pretty sick. The tests results say that it wasn’t Covid- thankfully- however, the symptoms said otherwise.

If we’re to be honest, it was a pretty scary time. My mom was back and forth to the hospital a countless amount of times and each time was just a scary as the last.

Can I digress for a moment? That had to be one of the worst things this time in history has brought- not only the reality of so many people loosing loved ones- but the crippling fear of the unknown as you sent your loved ones in the hospital, alone. With no assurance whether or not they would be coming back out of there. It’s been terrible.

Also, if I could digress a little further, the mothers who have had to birth babies in those environments alone, too. It’s scary.

And to all impacted- I’m sorry.

Okay, back to the story at hand.

My mama. So it was a pretty scary and uncertain time for her, and for those of us who were surrounding her. However, I learned a very valuable lesson from my husband and that is to remain calm and work the problem. Instead of reacting emotionally first, come up with some solutions.

So that’s what we all did. We are a people who believe in natural treatments/remedies first. So that always will be our default route. With that, we do use proper judgement. In this story- that was the right route.

We all came up with a number of different natural treatment methods between us- me, my husband, my siblings, and my mother. Truly, everything worked for a moment until it didn’t. That’s pretty much when we decided to use this tea.

Variations of this tea has been in existence in our household for quite some time. Actually, variations of these herbs have been used for herbal baths in our house to get the icky stuff out of our systems and remain healthy during this time of the year.

Maybe I’ll do a post on that in the future.

Anywho, this tea was solidified, though, in the summer. When my husband and my sons allergies were whipping their tails. Oh, they were so congested. I made one pot of this tea. Gave one cup to my husband and gave a little less than a cup to my son. Their noses began running like a faucet.

Gross but exactly what we wanted. It got all the icky mucus out of their systems and they could breathe and operate life as normal human beings.

Thus, the Natural Mucus Eradicating Herbal Tea was born.

So back to my mom, she was having an extremely difficult time breathing. So after a bunch of other natural treatment ideas/remedies- I made her some tea one night. The next morning I heard all about the immense difference that it gave her and how that was the first good nights rest she had in months.

It got the mucus out and she could breathe. And that’s why I’m sharing it with you. I’ve been told that it’s important that I share this. So here it is!

What you’ll need:

Toss all of your herbs into a pot. Peel 1/2 of your ginger root and cut into thick slices. Put them into the pot. Add spring water- I used 2 bottles. Bring to a boil and then lower the heat and let steep for about 45-60 minutes. Truly, the length of time is up to you.

Once it’s done, remove from the heat and let it cool. Strain it and transfer to storage jar of your choice. Store in the fridge for up to 3-5 days.
