Bubble gum down my throat (And it's a curse) - onlythebrave29 (2024)

Chapter Text

Adora’s fever was only getting worse, but she wouldn’t admit it. Sure, Catra would be mad, but she had way too much on her plate to care. She didn’t want to disappoint Catra though. She really didn’t. So like what anyone else would do, she downed a cup of water and tried to make her way to class. She was already late, but what sucked more, was how much she had to take breaks because of her throbbing head. Oh, Catra was going to be so, so mad. So would Glimmer, but she would understand, she’s a Law student as well. Adora slipped into a row, ignoring her professor's concerned face. Great, they can tell I'm weak.

She only got about 15 minutes into her lesson before the door burst open, revealing a very, very furious magicat. She pulled the professor aside to talk in hushed whispers, before he called Adora down. She dragged her bed down and hung her head low. Her professor checked her temperature, and her eyebrows raised at realizing how high Adora’s fever was.

“You're burning up Adora, you should be asleep, not at class.”

“But ma’am I-”

“No buts, you know the lessons are online, but you have to rest or you're only going to miss even more classes, and I know you don’t want that.”

Adora murmured, “Yes ma’am,” Before she was dragged by Catra out of the room. Catra might as well have had steam pouring from her ears, but it only took a few seconds for Adora to pass out.

She woke up to being straddled by Catra, who was slapping her cheeks, wearing a very scared face.

“Oh thank f*ck, thought your dumbass got yourself killed for a second. Scared the sh*t out of me. You were only gone for a minute.” Adora hated the fact that so many people were concerned for her being, people thought she was weak. She wanted nothing more than to find the person who did this to her and make them die a brutal death. But maybe once Adora’s better. She certainly isn’t up for murder as of now. She hated this, she hated having to be stuck in her room not able to distract herself with studying.

After being partially-carried by Catra back to their dorm, she was not-so-gently thrown onto her bed, and Catra took a seat on the rolling chair of Adora’s desk, propping her feet up on the bed. Adora tried to sit up to get her laptop so she could work, but was interrupted by Catra.

Tut, you will explain to me why you thought it was a good idea to go to class in your current condition.”

“I don’t have a condition-”

“And then you will sleep, I will wake you up to eat mysterious sick people food, and then you will sleep again. Are we clear?” Adora hung her head in shame.

“Yes ma’am.” Catra looked at Adora expectantly. “I didn’t want to ruin my attendance, and we have a class test soon-”

“Nice excuses love, but none of that’s important if you're sick.” Adora scoffed at Catra claiming her reasons as ‘excuses’.

Catra closed Adora’s blinds, trying to make the room as dark as it could be during mid-day. She then pecked Adora’s forehead and wished her goodnight, before shutting the door.

Adora was caught between the best and worst sleep of her life, but like promised, she was woken up with her 3 best friends fawning over her. She could tell it was dark outside, so she slept for a long time. Glimmer was spoon feeding her, Bow was asking her questions about how she felt and getting wet cloths, and Catra was just cuddled next to her, scenting her neck. She would much rather be left to the darkness of the room to study, but she knew better than to expect that. There was no way that the three were leaving her side until she was in a decent condition, whatever that was.

“Adora, you need a cloth for your hand?”

“No, I’m fin-”

“Open wide, also yes Bow, get another.” Catra laughed against Adora’s neck at Glimmer's need to be in charge. The feeling sent vibrations throughout Adora’s body. Catra proceeded to tell the two Adora’s antics from earlier in the day when she went to class despite her above 100 fever. Okay, in Adora’s defense, she didn’t know it was that bad.

Adora quickly fell back asleep after Glimmer and Bow went back to their own apartments, Catra still holding her close. Adora protested at first, saying she didn’t want Catra to get sick as well, but Catra said she wanted to, as it would be an excuse to skip some classes. Also an excuse to get princess treatment from Adora.

“I spoil you.” Catra nodded against Adora’s neck.

“Yeah, you do.”

“You're not, um, going anywhere tonight?” It was quite rare that Catra would go a Friday night without bringing a girl home, but tonight she seemed glued to Adora’s side, not willing to. Adora obviously loved this, she could easily enjoy one night without hearing Catra’s loud moans from the room next to hers, as Adora usually jacked off in the next room.

“Nah, my princess needs help.” She says, teasingly. Adora scoffed.

“I do not need help and I’m not-”

“Oh shut up and go to sleep princess.” Adora just nodded and Catra tucked her neck on Adora’s shoulder, scenting her.
